The Divorce Insurance Episode 11 Recap
The episode opens with Dae-bok having a very lucky day. Everything seems to be going in his favour! Meanwhile, Han-deul remembers her rather romantic kiss with Ki-jun just before they carpool to work. However, the looming dread of something going wrong with the insurance scheme looms over their heads. On the other hand, Jeon-man tries to ask Na-rae out for a movie, but it seems like things are not going to work out for him!
Soon, Yeo-reum and Seon-man arrive to deliver some news – they are getting divorced. However, it seems like they have given this decision adequate thought and will go through it peacefully. Afterwards, Ki-jun asks Han-deul’s help to knit his sister’s unfinished sweater, and she enthusiastically agrees to help him out. Meanwhile, Dae-bok seems to be riding the high of his good luck, but how long will it last? Jeon-man gets to, however, go to the movies with Na-rae.

Dae-bok’s wife comes home from her trip to find the flat in disarray and is left annoyed, while Yeo-reum’s divorce reel makes Han-deul think back to Ki-jun’s own comments regarding divorce before she teaches him how to knit in a rather sweet moment. Meanwhile, Dae-bok and So-jeong get into a fight, and she hands him divorce papers. He is left absolutely frustrated and agrees to it, promising that she will come back to him in the end.
Elsewhere, Ki-jun tells Han-deul her sister’s story and tells her that after his sister’s passing, he promised himself never to be afraid to part ways for both of their sakes. Han-deul is touched by his story and reminds him that he doesn’t have to restart from scratch if there is a little problem in his life or marriage, and urges him to focus on getting the next step right. At home, she finds a photo of Ki-jun along with the green unfinished sweater and finds a note behind the picture from a past romance, which leaves her curious.

Meanwhile, Na-rae learns that she is being transferred to their Singapore branch as CEO, which leaves Jeon-man without a plan. He meets up with Ki-jun, and the two drink with Dae-bok, who opens up about his marital issues and reflects on his past behaviours with his wife.
The next morning, Na-rae announces to the team that the decision to open up divorce insurance to the world is getting fast-tracked and asks them to upgrade the policy’s terms in preparation. While the rest of the team goes out for lunch, Na-rae tells Jeon-man about the Singapore offer, which leaves him stumped, especially when she asks him to go with her. She brings the offer forth in an extremely matter-of-fact way, leaving him feeling a bit hurt. He asks her whether she needs him, and she replies positively, although there are still some things to think about for him.
That night, Dae-bok hands So-jeong the divorce insurance policy, and he opens up to her about his shortcomings. It’s an emotional conversation where she also breaks down. In the end, he swears on his last project that he will change for the better, and to give him 100 days to prove himself. She tearfully agrees, and it’s a rather heartbreaking scene. Meanwhile, love blossoms between Ki-jun and Han-deul as he thoughtfully goes to pick her up from the bus station.

Back at home, they talk about her mother, mentioning that she hasn’t talked to her after the fateful evening a few days ago. However, seeing her mother leave food for her, she reaches out to her and has a pleasant conversation. Meanwhile, Ki-jun finds the picture with the message in the room and tells her the story behind it — his ex-wife took that photo, and he kept it to remind himself of who he was. He then tears the photo apart, having gotten over that part of his life and after seeing his ex happy once again.
Eventually, she asks whether they can switch back to their apartments, now that she is much more comfortable being at home alone, but Ki-jun playfully mentions that he has grown fond of her place. In a surprising turn of events, Han-deul proposes that they spend the night together. After a rather passionate night together, Ki-jun has a distressing dream about his sister the next morning, but in the end, he chooses to run to her and acknowledge her pain.
The Divorce Insurance Episode 11 Review

Guys, butterflies. I got butterflies. It should be illegal for such a forgettable drama to have such mature relationships. It’s too bad that this one’s so forgettable, hopefully, the romance keeps it alive. Other than the budding romance, we have some other rather emotional moments, especially the storyline about Ki-jun’s sister. I really enjoyed this episode because, despite being rather forgettable otherwise, the human stories are shockingly relatable, and people’s pains are becoming a bit too real. I think that’s what will attract most viewers.
