Orlando Bloom and Domhnall Gleeson are teaming up with the Mara sisters for a new movie!
The two actors will be starring alongside Kate and Rooney Mara in the upcoming movie Bucking Fastards, written and directed by German filmmaker Werner Herzog. The movie wrapped filming in Europe this past weekend.
Keep reading to find out more…Bucking Fastards is based on the true story of Jean and Joan Holbrooke, “two sisters who are so close to each other that they speak in unison, love the same man, and have the same dreams. They even make the same slip of tongue in unison. In search of an imaginary land, the Orkneys – where true love is possible – they start digging a tunnel through an entire mountain range,” according to Deadline.
In the movie, Orlando, 48, is playing their rowdy ex-lover Gareth Mulroney while Domhnall, 41, is playing, Timothy, their government-issued social worker/mender, trying to help them adapt to modern life after the two become tabloid sensations.
Bucking Fastards marks the first time that Rooney, 39, and Kate, 41, will appear on screen together.
It was also recently announced that Kate will be starring alongside these two Emmy-winning actresses in Apple TV+’s upcoming psychological thriller series Imperfect Women.
