Lionsgate has just announced who will portray the role of Maysilee Donner in The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping: 18-year-old actress
Mckenna Grace!
If you haven’t read the book yet, the role is Haymitch Abernathy’s fellow District 12 Tribute. Deadline described the role as “highly sought” because it’s the “closest thing to the Katniss role that Jennifer Lawrence made famous in the four film adaptations.”
The film, based on the recently released book, follows a young Haymitch Abernathy and his journey in the Fiftieth Annual Hunger Games. Woody Harrelson portrayed the character in the first four Hunger Games movies.
Newcomer Joseph Zada has been cast as a young Haymitch Abernathy while Gossip Girl‘s Whitney Peak will take on the role of his girlfriend, Lenore Dove Baird.
