Luke Bryan had an interesting response to being mistaken for another country star.

The 44-year-old singer confirmed to Jennifer Hudson in a recent interview that people often confuse him with Blake Shelton. In fact, Luke said that someone recently thought he was Blake while he was at a gas station with his 14-year-old son Tate.

“[The cashier] says, ‘I know it, you’re Blake, are you Blake?’ And I said, ‘I’m not Blake, but what makes you think that?’ And he goes, ‘Well, you’re just Blake Shelton‘s doppelgänger,’” Luke explained the interaction.

The American Idol judge decided to not reveal his identity to keep the line moving, and then received an ironic comment from the employee.

“He goes, ‘There’s no way you’re Blake, because Blake wouldn’t be here shopping at this gas station. Could you imagine having Blake Shelton’s money?’” Luke said.

“I didn’t really want to get into it, that I had more than Blake,” he joked.
