In this episode, a lot unfolds, giving us new insight into the boss monsters. It’s revealed that a Kaiju attack took place, and some members of the Red Rangers discovered it. Unfortunately, before they could properly report what was going on, they were killed. Following this, we see D meeting with Hibiki’s sister, where he encounters a strange man who ends up causing trouble.

Through this encounter, it becomes evident that people have been mysteriously disappearing without a trace. While the police suspect the odd stranger, signs point toward the boss monsters being the true culprits. Later, we learn that D and Usukubo have been assigned to the green battalion. This is a surprising twist, as D fully expected to join the Red Battalion.

However, this unexpected turn works out in D’s favor, as he realizes that before he can take down the Rangers, he must first defeat the boss monsters. These monsters are far more dangerous than anticipated, and the Green Battalion specializes in gathering intel on them.

Upon joining, D and Usukubo were stuck with tedious tasks they weren’t too thrilled about. But things quickly take a turn when they uncover a lead involving a local school and a gang of delinquents.

Today’s episode starts with an interesting premise as we see Usukubo completely wrapped in the illusion of Magatia. She truly believes that she is a student of this fake school and has completely forgotten about her existence as a Ranger. Not only that, she even refuses to hang out with the other members of the Green Battalion and treats the students of this school as her friends.

Another interesting aspect of this illusion is that the moment the school time ends, the day resets. This means somebody can stay trapped for an eternity in this school setting. But what I did not expect was to see someone from the Green Battalion act as the headmaster. A member of the Green Battalion called Wakaba went missing when his team was sent to capture boss Magatia some years back. At first, I thought he got killed and now Magatia is living as him in the human world, sadly I was wrong.

Not only that, he also has the divine artifact that his teammate used. After this, a brutal fight ensues between Kanon and Wakaba, but the deciding moment is interrupted by another student. She was able to reset the day to another new one, and things started from back from zero. However, Kanon’s mental situation is not great as the power of the boss monster Magatia starts to work on her.

In such a case, the only one who can help everyone out is D, who is not affected by any of this as he never attended school. Towards the end, we see another great battle between D and Mine, who realizes that D is actually a foot soldier.

I really like today’s episode but I also think that we are given too much information too quickly. Things are getting difficult to understand as the lines between good and bad are becoming blurry. In this anime, no one can be trusted right away and that is both an interesting and annoying aspect of the setup.
