“It’s been a nightmare,” Adam said. “I have spasms all over. For a while, [the doctors] told me I was dying—literally, within this last year.”
The actor said he was initially told to have Stiff Persons Syndrome (SPS), which Celine Dion also suffers from.
“They told me that I had that a month before my son was born,” he continued, noting the doctors walked that back six months later. “I could only walk a few blocks before I’ll get so tight that I couldn’t move anymore.”
Adam sought a second opinion, that also confirmed he did not have SPS, he was recently told his discomfort stems from that childhood accident.
“I think I just got so tight,” he explained. “My body has all these things that are a little wonky and a little wrong with it, that I just sort of snapped.”
Also during the podcast episode, Adam said his Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates co-star Zac Efron ghosted him, and revealed the story of what happened.
